You are invited to an evening with Iceland's first billionaire Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson.

Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson, better known as Thor, has launched, invested in and sold a number of companies during the past 10 years. Thor‘s career is diverse, brave, international and exciting.

Some of the highlights in the past include the founding of the Bravo brewery in Russia, which created the popular Botchkarov beer brand, and was sold to Heineken in 2002; the build-up of Actavis, one of the largest drug companies in the world and various investments in the telecom sector in Europe via his international investment company Novator in London.

After gaining a strong foothold in unstable markets, Thor moved to the more stable ground of banking and finance in Western Europe, only to find himself to be one of the key figures of the financial turmoil that threatened his native Iceland in the autumn of 2008 which turned out to be the preview of the global depression.
